Lingea Spell checker
The Lingea Spell-Checker enables the users to check if words are grammatically correct.It is based on a complex and sophisticated morphological description of the language and a detailed system of forms. It is most useful in such areas as text editing, DTP systems, OCR programs and other specialised applications where it is necessary to check the correctness of a text written in any given language.
Spell-Checker Features
- Any given word can be searched for in the dictionary. This function also checks correction capitalisation at the beginning of words (Prague, Maria, Eisenhower, ...), capital letters in complete words and acronyms (USA, IBM) or full stops at the end of abbbreviations (etc.)
- The correction menu function offers the user a range of alternatives similar in spelling to the misspelled given word. These words are generated by adding an additional letter, changing a letter, removing a letter or reversing the order of two consecutive letters
- The user dictionary and special dictionaries provide automatic alternatives to incorrect words
- The settings function allows the user to exclude certain word categories such as acronyms, one letter words or words which include numbers etc.
The Lingea Spell-Checker is available in a range of languages and for all major platforms.
